Mental Health Graduate Intern
Hi, I’m Gracie! I am a mental health counseling intern with One Mind, passionate about working with children and supporting them as they grow, learn, and navigate life’s challenges. I enjoy working with children experiencing anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem concerns, emotional difficulties, and other challenges that may impact their everyday lives. I am drawn to person-centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches and enjoy incorporating play, creativity, and age-appropriate activities into counseling. My goal is to create a safe and encouraging space where children feel seen, heard, and comfortable being themselves.

I have always had a passion for working with children and have gained experience with children of all ages across a variety of settings, including after-school care, babysitting, camp counseling, preschool teaching, and nannying. Through these experiences, I have had the opportunity to work with children from infancy through early adolescence. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University and am currently completing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling at Marian University. During my graduate program, I completed my practicum as a school counseling intern at a high school, where I worked with adolescents and gained experience supporting students through a variety of academic, social, and emotional concerns.
I believe every child has incredible potential when they have the emotional support and encouragement they need to grow. When working with children, I strive to create an environment where they feel safe being vulnerable, making mistakes, expressing themselves, and developing confidence in who they are. I approach counseling with compassion, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand each child as an individual. I hope that children leave our time together feeling more confident in themselves and better equipped to navigate their everyday lives.
Outside of One Mind, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Will, and our little dog, Rosie. I love all kinds of art and crafting, and my husband and I enjoy bowling and playing pickleball together. I also value spending time with family and friends and finding creative ways to enjoy everyday life. These activities reflect some of the things I hope to bring into my work with children: creativity, playfulness, connection, and a genuine appreciation for the little things that make life meaningful.
