Hi, my name is Amy! I moved around a bit as a kid, but spent most of my late elementary through college years in Colorado. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in OT from Colorado State University in 1999 and my Master’s Degree in OT from Boston University in 2008. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Vanuatu (South Pacific) from 2000 to 2002, which helped launch my OT career, giving me a broader worldview, an understanding of cultural differences, and creativity in delivering support with fewer resources.

I discovered a love for working with kids over the years through babysitting, camp counseling, and teaching skiing to kids with disabilities. I have worked for nearly 25 years in the field of OT, in a wide range of settings, including private pediatric clinics, hospital outpatient clinics, and private and public schools. I currently work full-time with Indianapolis Public Schools. I have vast experience working with kids with sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other developmental delays. In addition, I have received advanced training in Learning Without Tears, the Sequential Oral Sensory approach to feeding, sensory integration, and emotional behavioral disorders. I am a registered yoga teacher and have additional training as a kids yoga teacher.
I am so excited to work with children and their families at One Mind! I appreciate the holistic and collaborative approach to the setting, and I enjoy helping to problem-solve and to find just the right activities and ideas to incorporate into daily routines in the home environment.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my high school and college-aged daughters, in deep heart-led conversations with friends, practicing meditation, breath work, journaling, running, spending time in the woods with my dogs, nature photography, adventurous off-the-beaten-path travel, leading women’s circles, and offering Reiki to kids, adults, and pets.
