Finn Connor
Meet
Therapy Dog
Finn, owned by Kennedy, is an AKC Puppy of Achievement (POA),
AKC Grand Champion (GCH), AKC Champion (CH), and UKC Champion (CH), proudly representing the Field Spaniel, a rare and vulnerable breed. Field Spaniels are among the 50 rarest dog breeds in the United States, with limited annual registrations, making each dog an important part of the breed’s preservation and history.

Originally developed in the U.K., the Field Spaniel is officially listed there as a Vulnerable Native Breed due to low puppy registration numbers (fewer than 300 per year). In the U.S., their rarity makes them both distinctive and valuable to conservation efforts. Finn is part of Nautica Field Spaniels, a preservation kennel dedicated to protecting and promoting this special breed.

As a younger, energetic dog, Finn is highly attuned to the emotional states of those around him. He often mirrors clients' moods
and regulation, allowing clients to see firsthand how their internal experiences can influence others. Because Finn loves close contact,
he creates natural opportunities for children to practice boundary setting and self-advocacy in a supportive environment.

Finn’s joyful, wiggly greetings have become a signature part of the therapy space. No one is happier to see clients than this little brown dog. As the second therapy dog in the Mini Minds program, he is actively training with clients and engaging in food exploration work. Unlike Remy, Finn loves nearly everything, making him an excellent model for trying new experiences, usually more than once.

Finn’s blend of energy, emotional sensitivity, and enthusiasm makes him an invaluable partner in helping clients build confidence,
self-awareness, and healthy boundaries.
