Kasey Smith

Meet

Occupational Therapist

I have been practicing in occupational therapy for over 5 years
and specialize in helping children improve their abilities and develop
the life skills necessary to reach their full potential. I completed
my undergraduate work in human biology, psychology,
and neuroscience at Franklin College and earned my Master's
in occupational therapy at the University of Southern Indiana,
where my research focused on sensory processing interventions
for children. I have experience in sensory integration, emotional regulation, mindfulness, executive functioning, motor skills, social skills, and more. I am also receiving additional training to improve
my focus and classroom behavior.

Hello! My name is Kasey, and I am excited to be serving children and their families as a pediatric Occupational Therapist.
I remember moments of feeling lost & exhausted as a new mom, trying to ensure I was doing ‘all the right things’ to set my daughter
up for developmental success. There seemed to be a lot of conflicting information out there, which led me to pursue a career
in pediatrics and to become an additional resource for families to help them thrive and feel confident.

As a pediatric OT, I come alongside families to empower parents and caregivers with applicable tools and strategies that can
be implemented into each family’s unique day and routines for the best outcomes.

My primary interest outside of work includes spending quality time with my husband, daughter, and family. I also enjoy serving
my local church, singing, exercise, clean and simple living, crafting, baking, and continuing education/learning. In addition,
I am certified in functional nutrition and have experience with personal training and health/fitness coaching.
