Lead Mental Health Therapist

I specialize in working with children, teenagers, young adults,
and parents. In addition, being a mother myself, I enjoy working
with women as they navigate the challenges of motherhood
and self-identity. I also have a passion for helping teenagers
and young adults navigate life transitions, as I believe they offer powerful opportunities for self-growth.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Indiana, bringing twenty-plus years of experience working with children, teens, and families to One Mind. I completed my undergraduate work at Butler University in 1999, majoring in Psychology and Sociology, and earned my Master's of Social Work at Indiana University, Indianapolis, in 2001. Following my graduate internship, I was offered a position as a District Social Worker in Pike Township. From there, I continued to work in mental health and education at Speedway Public Schools, Clay Middle School in Carmel, and for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, serving families in parochial schools. Along the way, I also facilitated parenting classes through the Hamilton County Parenting Coalition. Prior to One Mind, I was the supervisor of Catholic Charities' school social work program. In this position, I served as the clinical supervisor of 25 mental health therapists who served the 29 parochial schools in the Indianapolis Archdiocese. At One Mind, I have the honor of being the first person to speak with potential clients and help match them with the therapist(s) on my team who I believe can best serve their families. Also in this role, I have the privilege of supporting our mental health team with best practices, program processes, and clinical documentation; providing direct clinical supervision; supporting them personally and professionally; and guiding their individual caseloads.

My counseling style is conversational, empathetic, supportive, and compassionate. In practice, I utilize a collaborative, strengths-based approach to create a safe space for clients while incorporating mindfulness training, psychoeducation on mental and physical wellness, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention. I have had twenty-three years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, self-harm, suicide ideation, self-esteem and body image, grief and loss, emotional and learning disabilities, transitions and adjustments, relationship challenges, and family communication.

I am a proud mom of three boys. When I am not working, you can usually find me at a game or a meet, cheering on my sons, walking around our neighborhood with my husband and the quirky mutt that we rescued, or taking a barre class with a friend. I love a good book, a hot cup of coffee, and sunny days. My family’s happy place is on the water – waterskiing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, and tubing.
