Meet
Speech Language Therapist
From a very young age, my parents have documentation of me helping my sister learn to talk. While in high school, I shadowed a speech-language pathologist and decided to pursue my degree at Ball State University.
I earned both my Bachelor’s (’98) and Master’s (’00) degrees from
Ball State. While in college, I knew that I wanted to work with children
to help them communicate.

Throughout my career (over 20 years of experience), I have primarily worked for local central Indiana school districts
and spent 3 years with a private practice. My primary focus has been on helping children ages 3-6. However, I also enjoy working
with elementary-aged students. For the last three years, I have practiced as a speech-language pathologist and collaborated with school-based preschool programs to assist teachers with difficult behaviors, varying classroom needs, and integrating therapy into their curriculum.
I have also co-taught in an intensive speech/language therapy classroom, using narrative story retelling and vocabulary development to treat a range of speech-sound disorders and provide language interventions.

Since joining One Mind, I have pursued continuing education in Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and literacy. During therapy,
I want to connect with each child and incorporate activities that engage, teach, and grow confidence in their unique areas of need.
I strive to communicate simple activities to families that they can complete (if they choose) to help their child improve their success across an array of environments. I look forward to meeting you and working to support your child so they can reach their full communicative potential.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young adult children, traveling, walking my dog, and having dinner with friends.
