Winnie Connor
Meet
Therapy Dog
Winnie is the newest member of the One Mind therapy dog team.
Like Finn, he is a Field Spaniel, one of the 50 rarest dog breeds
in the United States. With low annual registrations and a formal Vulnerable Native Breed designation in the U.K. (fewer than 300 puppies registered annually), every Field Spaniel plays an important role in the preservation and future of the breed.

Winnie’s lineage reflects this commitment to conservation, his father is from the UK, further supporting efforts to strengthen
and sustain the breed’s genetic diversity. He is owned and loved by Kennedy and is part of Nautica Field Spaniels, a preservation kennel dedicated to protecting and promoting this special spaniel.
Although still a puppy, Winnie is already beginning his training journey. He will be working toward his Puppy of Achievement
and Conformation titles, with early exposure to FASTcat, dock diving, and therapy work. He has a natural enthusiasm for everything he tries and has quickly shown a particular love for engaging with people.
Winnie has started attending selective therapy sessions with dog-savvy clients, helping him build confidence and learn the skills needed to become a therapy dog. He doesn’t know a stranger; his warm, friendly nature shines through in every interaction.
While he is young, Winnie is already showing tremendous potential to be an outstanding future member of the therapy dog team: eager to learn, deeply social, and perfectly suited for the work ahead.
